Line Up again ISO 9001 certified

How the Mönchengladbach-based procurement specialist keeps its quality management to ISO 9001 certification up to date.

Line Up not only procures quality, but also maintains it in practice every day: through a sophisticated quality management system, which Intertek Certification GmbH re-certified to ISO 9001 on 11.08.2022.

Since October 2015, the ISO 9001 certification has given Line Up's customers the assurance that all products are developed in accordance with standards and are based on internationally recognised standards. To this end, the procurement specialist puts its international suppliers through their paces, accompanies production through all phases and carries out final quality checks before shipping. Quality management covers the entire process at Line Up to ensure a safe customer flow and increase customer satisfaction.

With the recertification that took place on 11.08.2022 and further optimisations, it is now clear that Line Up can meet the requirements of its customers even better today and also tomorrow.

Quality management meets customer requirements

DIN EN ISO 9001 is a standard from the overall series DIN EN ISO 9000 ff. As a globally recognised standard, it defines the requirements for an effective quality management system (QMS).

This defines who in the company is responsible for which quality-relevant activities and which procedures are to be followed. For this purpose, the standard requires the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act), a control loop that ensures a continuous improvement process (CIP). ISO 9001 only provides the framework, which a company must design individually depending on its activities and industry.

Line Up, for example, places great emphasis on ensuring that its own quality management is primarily concerned with customer requirements. Because in a time characterised by crises, scarcity of resources and unstable supply chains, it is more important than ever to identify and meet them. Our quality management covers all processes at Line Up to guarantee the highest standards. This not only promotes efficiency, but also transparency towards our customers, which strengthens trust and ensures lasting satisfaction.

The certification was carried out by Intertek Certification GmbH, one of the world's leading providers in the field of technical acceptance and certification of management systems. Particular mention was made of the very short and direct internal communication channels as well as the fact that Line Up can react extremely flexibly on the market due to its size and industry diversity.

In addition, there are the qualified employees with their know-how and a continuous efinition of the QM goals and their achievement. The very good and loyal relationships with customers, forwarders and suppliers were also included in the certification. And last but not least, the appealing working environment and the clean, tidy warehouse area completely convinced Intertek.

How Line Up meets further requirements

In addition, other things have been added that contribute to quality management in the sense of the continuous improvement process: On the one hand, a high degree of transparency and traceability via the linking plan per order in the SAP Business One merchandise management system. On the other hand, a dedicated warehouse app optimises the internal processes.

The Line Up Dashboard, which was developed in-house, has also been contributing to the quality promise since this year: By providing a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects with information such as appointment requests and order documents, it ensures even more customer satisfaction. It remains to mention the photovoltaic system that was also installed this year, from which Line Up draws a large part of its electricity.
